Love, Loss and The Little Things

Love Loss and The Little Things is an hour-long dramatic play about how we endow objects with our stories and emotions. The stimulus for the story each performance is a collection of five curated objects (Little Things). As the audience enter the foyer, they will notice that there are five white empty podiums. At the conclusion of each show, the ‘story catcher’ (seated in the audience during the show) writes a short synopsis of the story created for each object. This story is then printed and attached to the podium for each object in a post-show exhibition of the play. The exhibition continues to grow each night of the season, as a new set of 5 objects is added each time. After the season, the stories and photos of the objects are added to an online gallery as an ongoing record of the stories created over the life of the play.
