Jeff is a performer, puppeteer, and educator who trained with James Thornton in Cleveland, Ohio and then in New York at The Michael Howard Studios and the School of Russian Art Theatre Summer School at Columbia University.
He has performed with many Tasmanian companies including: the Tasmanian Theatre Company; Big Monkey Theatre, which he Chaired for over 10 years; and Terrapin Puppet Theatre. For TTC he was in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Buyer & Cellar. For Terrapin, he appeared in Stormchasers, The Gatekeeper, and The Falling Room and The Flying Room. He toured nationally and internationally in Love and the 2012 Helpmann Award winning BOATS. He has also voiced various characters for Blue Rocket’s animation projects.
In 2020 he began performing with Protea Impro. In 2023 he joined their board and attended the Auckland Improv Festival with them. He trains and performs regularly with them and currently teaches at Hobart College.
